How to make kava

Full step-by-step guide

Measure

Add your kava powder to a muslin strainer bag. Start with about 1 cup of powder to 2–3 cups of water.

Knead

Knead and squeeze the bag in cool water for several minutes until the water turns cloudy.

03

Strain & share

Wring the bag out, then serve in a bilo and share around the bowl – the traditional way.
